700+ contacts for a ‘Most Wanted’ DXCC activity at the current phase of the cycle is a special feat, not just for the Nauru DXpedition team, but also for the 11m DX Community in general which maintains its reputation as possessing the best and most equipped DX Hunters on any of the bands.
This is the reality of the 271DA/0 activity which transpired in early January 2016 — so many memorable experiences for both adventurists Brian and Darren and also those guys lucky enough to make the log.
Below you can see a sample of video representations which encapsulate the spirit of working a “new one” on 11m; the adrenaline rush of punching through a pile up of 5/9 stations to achieve ITL or, alternatively, being on the right frequency at the right time to work a momentary signal flicker from the depths of the Pacific.
These videos, shared with the Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC), mark special moments in time for those involved, unforgettable experiences that only those involved in the hobby of chasing rare DX can appreciate.
