A must have for any ham shack library is The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) DXCC List — regarded as the official source of DXCC information for hams and SWL enthusiasts.
Most recently released in 2012, not only does it contain the current DXCC entity list (plus recent and deleted entities) but it also includes a complete listing of DX Century Club rules as well as the latest changes and clarifications, a prefix cross-reference, the list of international call sign series, and much more.
Descriptions of all DXCC awards are covered in this great 32 page soft cover publication, and information about how to obtain numerous DXCC items, such as pins and plaques too.
Owners can also record the DXCC Entities they’ve worked and confirmed!
