A familiar name to 27 MHz operators worldwide, Twan is widely regarded as freeband DX royalty, having built an outstanding reputation across decades on the air.
A former member of the Alfa Tango, Delta Xray, and Sugar Delta clubs respectively, our newest 19-Div member brings with him more than 40 years of experience in the hobby, along with the professionalism and operating standards that have earned him global respect.

It features a Yaesu FTDX3000 transceiver, supported by ACOM amplifiers, and antenna systems including a Vortex Delta-Loop and Hex Beam, complemented by Heil Studio audio equipment for exceptional on-air quality.
Beyond the home shack, this Dutch operator is equally prepared for DX from the road, operating mobile with an FT-710 transceiver and Atlas 120 mobile antenna, ensuring he is never far from the action.

He’s a devoted husband and father, and enjoys spending his downtime feeder fishing in local waterways, particularly along the Meuse River, home to species such as barbel, chub, and common nase.
He’s also a proud owner of pet cocker spaniel dogs, and those who know him will quickly tell you that he absolutely loves his dogs, which provide a perfect balance to his busy professional and radio life.
