From the shores of the Korea Strait, the Dx Adventure Radio Club is delighted to welcome 100DA250 Jeong to the DA-RC family after connecting with the club in early July 2026…
Widely regarded as a disciplined, courteous and highly motivated DX Hunter, Jeong becomes the first-ever member of the Dx Adventure Radio Club from South Korea—a significant milestone in our club’s continued international expansion.
Jeong’s arrival extends the DA-RC footprint into another fascinating corner of Asia and further strengthens our growing network of dedicated guys united by a shared passion for adventure, exploration and worldwide radio comms.

Occupying the southern half of the Korean Peninsula in East Asia, South Korea enjoys a strategic location for DX work…
It’s bordered by North Korea (334) to the north, while China (203) lies across the Yellow Sea to the west and Japan (25) across the Korea Strait to the east.
Fringed by thousands of kilometres of breathtaking coastline and dominated by rugged mountain ranges, Jeong’s country presents a diverse and often picturesque operating environment for radio enthusiasts.
Although South Korea boasts an active amateur radio community, it remains a relatively uncommon contact on the 11-metre band, making stations from the 100 Division highly sought after by DX Hunters around the globe!

100DA250 Jeong calls Nowon-gu home, a welcoming residential district in the northeastern reaches of Seoul, South Korea’s dynamic capital…
A city where centuries-old royal palaces stand in the shadow of futuristic skyscrapers, Seoul effortlessly combines rich cultural heritage with cutting-edge innovation.
Vibrant street markets, world-famous cuisine (e.g. Korean Barbecue, Bibimbap, Chimaek (Korean Fried Chicken & Beer) and Tteokbokki), bustling shopping precincts and tranquil Buddhist temples (such as Bulguksa Temple (Gyeongju), Tongdosa Temple (Yangsan) and Beopjusa Temple) all contribute to the city’s unmistakable character.

In contrast, Nowon-gu offers a quieter pace of life…
Jeong’s district is renowned for its tree-lined streets, expansive parks and easy access to the scenic hiking trails of Mount Suraksan and Mount Bulamsan.
It’s an ideal setting for someone who appreciates both the excitement of travel and the peaceful satisfaction of pursuing radio communications!

With more than 20 years of experience in radio communications, Jeong has earned a reputation as a knowledgeable and accomplished operator…
Throughout his journey he has proudly represented the 100 Division under the callsigns 100EK100 and 100EK250, before joining the Delta-Alfa family as 100DA250.
A licensed amateur radio operator, Jeong’s station is built around the impressive Yaesu FT-710 transceiver, complemented by a four-element Delta Loop antenna and a powerful 1 kW linear amplifier.
This carefully assembled station provides the performance needed to pursue challenging DX opportunities and compete effectively whenever band conditions favour long-distance propagation.

Like most dedicated Freeband DX Hunters, 100DA250 Jeong regularly monitors the international 11-metre calling frequency of 27.555 MHz USB…
He’s always ready to answer a distant call or seize an unexpected opening as propagation unfolds across the globe.

Now enjoying retirement, Jeong devotes much of his spare time to the pursuits he enjoys most…
Chasing rare DX stations, experimenting with and constructing antennas, and travelling to experience new destinations are all passions that perfectly reflect the adventurous spirit of the Dx Adventure Radio Club.
His enthusiasm for continual learning and improving his station has made him a respected figure among fellow operators.

Joining the DA-RC under the DX Chaser membership category, Jeong comfortably satisfies the club’s membership requirements through his consistent on-air activity, technical expertise and unwavering commitment to the hobby.
His professionalism, operating manner and friendly nature embody the values that have become synonymous with our club!
