This will be the first 11m activation of the country since its name changed from “Nauru” earlier in the year, bringing one of Oceania’s most elusive DX entities back to the airwaves for the first time in more than a decade!
Situated in the central Pacific between the Marshall Islands (132) and Kiribati (224), Naoero is one of the world’s most isolated island nations — and one of the most coveted DX properties among serious hunters, regardless of the band…
Well respected databases such as Islands Base Online and DX Proofs confirm that activity from Division 271 (OC-031) has been extremely limited across all solar cycles.
With Daz’s previous visit in 2016 enjoying only two short openings with Europe (EU) and just over 600 contacts in total, mostly across the Pacific and South America, this region will again be a major target for 2 guys renowned for their commitment to Most Wanted DX work.
Importantly, the Team will also work hard to maximise opportunities across Asia (AS), Africa (AF), the Americas and Oceania (OC).
As with all major DA-RC operations, extensive efforts have gone into both reconnaissance and logistics to ensure best possible practice from such a remote and hotly sought after location…

Unlike major ham radio expeditions, 11m DXpeditions are predominantly self-funded. Sponsorship is therefore vital in turning a DXpedition concept into a real-world signal on the band.
