*SOON* 144DA/DX, Easter Island

The Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) is proud to support experienced DXpeditioner 32DA002 Manu, as he undertakes an ambitious Freeband DXpedition to the ocean-bound DXCC of Easter Island…

Operating under the callsign 144DA/DX, Manu will be active from 1June 19-27 2026, bringing one of the world’s most sought-after locations to the airwaves for the global DX community!

For DX enthusiasts worldwide, Easter Island (Rapa Nui) remains a true “Most Wanted” destination…

As IOTA Reference SA-001, this remote island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean represents a rare opportunity for operators to log a highly prized entity from one of the most isolated inhabited places on Earth.

It’s also the DA-RC’s first EVER operation here!

Beyond its DX significance, Easter Island lies roughly 3500 km west of mainland Chile (32 Division) and is renowned for its extraordinary cultural heritage and dramatic landscape…

The island is home to nearly 1000 iconic Moai statues, with major landmarks including Ahu Tongariki, the impressive ceremonial platform featuring fifteen restored statues, Rano Raraku, the volcanic quarry where many Moai were carved, and the ceremonial village of Orongo, perched high above the Pacific.

Its unique history, striking scenery, and extreme isolation make Easter Island not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also one of the most iconic and desirable DXstinations in the world.

As a Freeband DXpedition of this scale, significant logistical costs are involved, including international travel, accommodation, equipment transport, licensing, and operational setup…

The success of such an undertaking is only possible through the continued support and engagement of the worldwide DX community.

To assist with these expenses, sponsorship opportunities are available in Diamond, Gold, and Silver categories.

Every contribution, regardless of size, directly supports Manu’s activation and helps provide operators around the world with the opportunity to work one of the most coveted DXCC entities.

Sponsorship contributions can be sent directly to Manu via PayPal at ce3ymr@gmail.com.

QSL management for the expedition will be handled by 1DA001 Gaetano, with requests sent:

Via Santa Maria in Pratello, 16, 20067 Paullo (MI), Italy

Contributions are US$3/€3 within Europe when accompanied by a self-addressed envelope or address label, and US$3.50/€3.50 for stations outside Europe.

Operators using PayPal are asked to include sufficient funds to cover fees and must include their callsign, QSO details, and return mailing address.

QSL PayPal payments should be directed to 1da005gae@gmail.com.

We wish 32DA002 Manu every success as he activates from one of the most remote and iconic locations on Earth.
