WBA Monthly Report: March 2026

The month of March 2026 concluded with an extraordinary balance for the Dx Adventure Radio Club’s ‘World Beauties Award (WBA)’….

While February was the month of “consistency,” March marked the stride of cultural identity.

It brought to light millennial archaeological sites, natural reserves, and historical anniversaries that united Hunters worldwide in one great DX marathon!

The Soul of the WBA: More Than Just an Activation

The WBA project continues to evolve with a clear mission: to give a voice to beauty.

It is not just about numbers, but about creating a bond between the radio operator and the territory.

Every reference activated in March told a story: from the Neolithic tombs of Sardinia to the river islands of Poland, and the celebrations for Argentine women.

Performance Analysis: The Protagonists of March

In a circuit where operational speed and the ability to manage pileups are essential, here is who dominated the airwaves this month:

🥇 The Propagation King: 165DA101 (Alex)

Once again, Alex proves to be the most prolific and tireless activator.

With 5 activations and a total of 846 QSOs, he demonstrated incredible versatility operating in Portable Field mode.

Top Moment: The activation of the Mangiabarche Lighthouse with 225 QSOs, a technical success in an extreme maritime environment.

🥈 The International Ambassador: 205DA004

Directly from the Cape Verde archipelago, the activation of São Vicente Island (IOTA AF-086) lit up rigs across half the world, totaling a massive 509 QSOs.

A result that highlights the WBA’s prestige even in tropical latitudes.

🥉 The Voice of History: 161DA135 (Sylvester)

Sylvester brought the WBA to the heart of Eastern Europe.

His activation of Pasterska Island (Poland) was not only technical but a tribute to the resilient nature of Polish rivers.

A perfect bridge to the next major activation: the Baptism of Poland.
