Central America, known for its incredible wildlife, lush rainforests, and active volcanoes, forms a vibrant land bridge between North and South America…
Beyond its dramatic landscapes, rich Spanish and indigenous cultures, and deep colonial heritage, Central America is also home to a number of outstanding—but often elusive—Freeband DX Hunters.
Bound by the North Pacific and Atlantic oceans, the region consists of seven nations—Belize (218), Costa Rica (69), El Salvador (211), Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
The inaugural Domingueras Central America DX Event will launch on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
This 24-hour activation will feature a small but highly capable group of DA-RC operators stationed across this spectacular region, bringing this rarely heard part of the 27 MHz DX world to life.
Adding to the excitement, there is a competitive radio sport element.
Shown below, a special certificate will be available to any Hunter who successfully works one or more of the Central American stations.
