Stand by, Freeband DX Community — the Dx Adventure Radio Club is set to unleash yet ANOTHER monster “Most Wanted” DXpedition in the coming months!
Our HQ Team is proud to announce an upcoming Delta-Alfa activation to the Line Islands of Eastern Kiribati (266 Division) — a remote Pacific nation whose islands are scattered across an immense stretch of ocean, thousands of kilometres from the nearest major landmass.

This far-flung DXCC, rarely heard on the bands and absent from the world’s best DX band – 11m – for over a decade, is a dream QTH for serious chasers.
More than 12 months in the planning, this operation will see seasoned DX Adventurer 43DA001 Darren QRV from the main island of Kiritimati as 266DA/0, with plans to also activate outer islands of the atoll in a rare IOTA Tour — creating multiple ATNO opportunities for Island Hunters worldwide.

Kiribati (224, 265, 266) is among the most geographically isolated countries on earth, its islands strung like emeralds across more than 3.5 million square kilometres of ocean.
Reaching the Line Islands requires multiple long-haul flights and, in some cases, irregular inter-island transport — a logistical feat in itself.
Stretching 2,350 km across the heart of the Pacific, the Line Islands are famed for untouched white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, WWII relics, and culturally rich villages.

For roughly 14 days, “Mr Pacific” will be on location running dedicated CQ ops on both 27 MHz and amateur bands, strategically targeting major DX markets — in particular Europe — to deliver a highly sought-after Oceania reference to DXers in every corner of the globe.
To maximize reach, Darren’s portable station will feature high-end transceivers by Yaesu and Icom, Moxon & Skypper antennas, a 10m NBS mast, and carefully selected DX accessories to ensure a loud, reliable signal worldwide.
This activation follows Darren’s proven track record with rare Asia/Pacific entities such as Timor Leste, Christmas Island, Nauru, Tuvalu, Tonga, Temotu, and several others.
But world-class DX like this comes at a price — over $10,000 AUD in flights, accommodation, freight, and logistics.

Get Involved – Sponsorship Opportunities
The DA-RC is offering Diamond, Gold, and Silver sponsorship packages, each with exclusive benefits and public recognition for helping make this DXpedition a reality.
Sponsors also receive Darren’s 80+ page full-colour logistics guide — packed with behind-the-scenes detail and expedition tracking info.
On the 11m band, sponsorship is not about material gain or freebies — it’s about directly helping to offset the significant costs of sending a DXpedition Team to one of the most remote and rarely activated places on earth.
📌 Without this support, ultra-rare activations like the 266DA/IOTA Tour simply wouldn’t happen, and once-in-a-decade ATNO opportunities would be lost.
Be part of the story. Keep Freeband DX alive.
