Ferocious winds and torrential rain which battered the south-eastern suburbs of Paris a few days before Christmas also savaged the antenna mast of DA-RC Headquarters member 14DA007 Chris.
Disastrously, a ruined rotator and a 4 element Moxon antenna left dangling from the pole like a broken tree branch (Pictured right) were the outcomes of Mother Nature’s fury which reportedly also vented its anger on neighbouring homes.
“I will be out of the band for a moment,” reports Chris on our club’s internal mailing list. “I hope that SC will quickly bring me a new one!!!”
