The Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) has long been an advocate of bhi products and for good reason too.
In our opinion, they make radio comms a more satisfying pastime by cancelling out noise and interference that can make our hobby stress free.
The subject of this DA-RC ‘Product Watch’ — the bhi Mini Switch — is no different and whilst it’s not a noise cancelling product as such, it does play a role in enabling noise cancellation from other bhi products.
FUNCTIONALITY
At just 53mm x 37mm x 44mm, the bhi Mini Switch is a compact two-way switch box which enables the connection of two radios to a bhi DSP noise cancelling product.
This enables you to get more ‘bang for your buck’.
Obtainable in Australia for roughly $50 AUD, including sea postage, this 0.13 kg item comes with 2 x 3.5 mm mono audio plug-to-plug leads to connect to your transceivers.
It also comes with velcro fixing pads to enable securing of the Mini Switch to your radio equipment.

Operation:
- Connect your radio extension speaker outputs to the ”Audio In” 1 and “Audio In” 2 sockets.
- Connect the “Audio Out” jack plug lead on the Mini switch to the input socket of your NEIM 1031 or ANEM in-line unit, or connect your bhi DSP noise cancelling speaker jack plug lead into the “Audio Out” socket on the Mini Switch.
- Select required “Audio In” source using the switch.
