The Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) is delighted to reveal intricacies of its dot-points regarding the pending dxpedition to the tiny, independent principality of Andorra, which is set to key up on April 5, 2024.
From the northern hemisphere, this incredibly exciting Freeband DX activity, from the ice-capped Pyrenees mountains in 51 Division, will be brought to life through the sublime efforts of a super experienced dxpedition team from Spain.
Based on previous QSO data collected from the DA-RC HQ Team from reliable 11m databases such as DX Proofs and Clusters, these guys have been issued the special callsign 51DA/DX from the DA-RC HQ Team and we wish them the very best of luck for their scheduled dx adventure.
Bordered by France (14 Division) to the north and Spain (30 Division) to the south, this well-honed dx adventure team’s choice of conquer is Andorra (51 Division), a sovereign landlocked DXCC situated on the Iberian Peninsula in south-western Europe.
It’s a wonderfully rare DX phenomena indeed; nestled deep within the ominous and white-capped peaks of the eastern Pyrenees and the sixth-smallest state in Europe (EU).
According to the World Atlas, Team DA-RC’s early April 2024 dxstination is known to be the world’s 16th-smallest country by land and the 11th-smallest by population.
It has an area of 468 square km and a population of roughly 79034 people.
Please check out all the information on 51DA/DX, from the intriguing independent principality of Andorra pertaining to this dx adventure, on our club’s website under the heading DXPEDITION LIST.
You can find out about the Andorra team members, the QSLM, relevant links, sponsorship opportunities, the operating grid square, and more, as well as others by members of the DA-RC, in the right hand side menu under ‘DXpedition List’.
Here, you can also follow the new ‘Live Log’ innovation to check the status of your contact, as well as which stations are being heard from this diminutive DXCC in Europe.
Good luck to all!
