Attention IOTA Chasers!
The Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) is excited to reveal that the rare DXCC of Vanuatu, a far-flung archipelago in the south-western Pacific, will be activated on the eleven meter band in the coming weeks.
Located northeast of New Caledonia (172 Division), east of Australia (43) and west of Fiji (99) and last activated in 2013, the island nation of Vanuatu is made up of roughly 80 islands.
These stretch for some 1300 km, through the Oceanic sub-region of Melanesia, in a distinct Y-shape.
The HQ Team is excited to announce that experienced members of the DA-RC will be QRV from Vanuatu in late September, 2022.
They’ll be on the air from several coconut palm dotted island dxstinations across 2 x World Islands Program listed IOTA groups.
One island on the team’s schedule, along with the IOTA Group to which it belongs, has never before seen action on freeband frequencies and so represents an awesome allure to the world’s population of IOTA chasers.
