The Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) is excited to announce that 14DA049 Fred and good mate 14ATS049 Anthony will undertake a DIFM Tour of pintsized islands in the Bretagne (Cote d’Armor dpt 22) region of Manche, in late May, 2024.
These activities will fall under the umbrella of the World Islands Festival (WIF), an annual event organized and managed by long time DA-RC member 14DA028 Phil.
Incredibly, 11m band data bases such as Islands Base Online (IBO) indicate that all dxstinations on the Team’s itinerary haven’t been activated on the 11m band for more than 10 years, the first not since 2003.
Staggeringly, the French Team will activate three islands in three days, transporting an effective portable station (transceiver, generator, antenna, mast, etc.) across sand flats to their respective dxstinations.
Reconnaissance efforts indicate that all islands are accessible from the Bretagne mainland at low tide.
