AUSTRALIA CONTEST, Sept 18, 2021

With the Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) having a very strong presence in Australia, and some very committed DX Hunters, the DA-RC Australia Contest is sure to be one of the most competitive DX events on the band in 2021.

The Commonwealth of Australia (43 Division), is a country in the Southern Hemisphere comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania and numerous smaller islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

Australia has 6 states — Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania & Western Australia — and 2 mainland territories — the Northern Territory & Australian Capital Territory.

In the DA-RC Australia Contest, these geographical entities, as well as Australia’s numerous external territories, including those DXCC/Divisions that are said to belong to Australia, represent the main DX targets, with each state and territory valued as 1 multiplier in the event.
