*Ham Friendly* Cook Islands

For many ham and 11m DXers, the Southern Cook Islands (250 Division) remain an elusive Oceanic DXCC entity.

For this reason, there’s always plenty of interest in the minds of DXpeditioners — considering it as an option for their next big radio trip.

E51DXX_pileupOne of the challenges for any dx adventure team in this remote part of the world is obtaining ham friendly accommodation.

The Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC), however, is happy to report that such accommodation exists on Rarotonga (OC-013), the most populous island of the RSGB referenced IOTA group.

Sea Change Villas Rarotonga Beach Resort offers confirmed ham friendly villa accommodation, nestled on its own secluded white sandy beach.

Each villa has its own private pool, and comes with complete privacy for your special Rarotongan DX holiday.

During periods of DX down-time, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, stand up paddle boards, bicycles and an extensive DVD and CD library are all complimentary for guests.
