*RESULTS* 2017 Halloween Challenge

Results are out of the bubbling cauldron for the 2017 ‘Halloween Challenge’ with winners and placegetters revealed in the ‘Hunters’ and ‘Halloween Stations’ categories respectively.

‘Halloween Station’ Category

In this category, in which only Dx Adventure Radio Club (DA-RC) members could participate, members from 5 different DXCC and 3 unique continents featured in the top 6 placegetters.

This speaks volumes about the closeness of the inaugural challenge and the popularity of the concept in the DA-RC ranks.

The fact 49 DXCC were logged by Halloween Stations over the duration of the contest also is evidence of the event’s popularity, and, the eagerness of serious 11m DX Hunters across the world to work them.

In the ‘Halloween Station’ category, 164DA101 Herve in the Togo Republic finished on top, with an incredible 306 points.

He was also able to snare 6 fellow Halloween stations, providing an additional 30 log points.

A terrific effort indeed!

Next up, from her haunted castle in the Mediterranean Sea, 104DA102 Syl, of HQ fame, nailed second spot with 193 points, courtesy of 168 stations worked.

Operating as 104DA/SPIRIT on the island of Corsica, Syl’s haunting station also nabbed an impressive 5 fellow Halloween Stations.

Tailing out the top 3 in the ‘Halloween Stations’ section was the other half of the Globetrotters team, 104DA101 Roy.

Sharing the station with his wife Syl, Roy accumulated 158 points as 104DA/PUMPKIN, utilizing his Special Event Station (SES) status to pilfer the band of 153 contacts.

Unlike his better half, however, Roy was only able to capture 1 Halloween Station!!!!!!
