DX Resources
Cluster.dk is a 24 hour notification system for 11m radio communication which also doubles as a chat lounge and DX archive for users. This unique data system enables you to be notified about rare and semi rare DX activity and also to notify the 11m community when you SWL/work something interesting ‘on air’.
Most DA-RC members are Cluster.dk Lounge members also.
Though principally intended for the Ham radio market, DX Holiday offers a starting point for radio communications fans looking for a DXpedition QTH. Designed by Kenneth Silverman, the valuable information contained in DX Holiday has been broken down into each of the Radio Society of Great Britain’s IOTA sub-groups, the contents of which have been collected from various Amateur Radio operators who have recently TX from these QTHs.
Details of ham-friendly or Rent-a-QTH accommodation, appropriate radio and antenna equipment for the area, transport to and from the QTH including across island travel, and more, is designed to facilitate DXpedition endeavours by acting as a medium for knowledge exchange-thus making the planned trip more profitable for the DX party and hassle free.
Propagation Service Centre [PSC]
[PSC] is a free and non commercial service, independent from any radio club. Their mission is to provide forecasts on propagation on especially the 11m band, and to make information as solar activity easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to find, so every skilled operator can anticipate 11m propagation.
Wlod_log is a freeware log for professional 11m DXers which requires Access 97, 2000, XP or Access RunTime version installations. Designed by 161AT038 Wlodek and 161AT011 Roman, Wlod_log has many great functions for IOTA Hunters, including an IOTA Directory designed by 161AT191 Dave.
Wlod_log can be translated into your own language and even has its own mailing list for registered users.
Global Tuners
Global Tuners provides everything needed to make radio receivers available to others over the internet. Global Tuners provides the website and all software, the ‘site operators’ provide the actual receivers and share them with the world.
10m Beacons—10m World Wide Propagation Beacons
10m Beacons is website is an online beacon notification system on which radio operators can spot active beacons. This website also maintains a complete and regularly updated list of 10m beacons, a greyline propagation map, beacon chat, a WJ50 beacon list and other valuable features.
HamSphere
HamSphere is a virtual Ham Radio Transceiver that works in Windows, Linux or Mac or any other Java driven system. HamSphere can be used by both licensed (Ham Radio) and unlicensed radio enthusiasts.
You are able to communicate with thousands of Amateur Radio operators and radio enthusiasts from over 160 countries around the world. No extra hardware is needed; just your PC, a microphone, speakers and you are ready to call CQ on all bands.
Transmitter virtual output is adjustable between 10 watts and 2.5 kilowatts. HamSphere covers 11 virtual Ham Bands between 160m and 6m. The system does not emit any RF and it is 100% safe to operate in any country. You can also use the built in 48m Broadcast band to create your own shortwave radio station.
