DA-RC DX Awards

In keeping with its stated objective of ‘Promoting and supporting DXpedition activities’, the Dx Adventure Radio Club has established an all-inclusive awards program in order to honour the Determination, Accomplishments, Resourcefulness and Collaboration of members in 3 categories:

  1. DX Hunter
  2. DX Chaser
  3. DXpedition Operator

DX HUNTER

When applying for DX Hunter Awards, applicants must provide photocopies of QSL cards (front and back) as proof in order to maintain the integrity of the program.  Contacts made with previous callsigns are valid for these awards (except for DXCC states and territories awards) and no time limit applies for achieving the various contact targets.

DX CHASER

When applying for DX Hunter Awards, applicants must also provide photocopies of QSL cards (front and back) as proof.  Contacts made with previous callsigns are not valid for these awards and all contacts must be made within either one calendar year or 12 months between the first and last contact.

DXCC Chaser
  • 50 DXCC worked and confirmed within one calendar year
IOTA Chaser
  • 100 IOTA worked and confirmed within one calendar year

DXPEDITIONER

When applying for any DXpeditioner Award, applicants must provide all logs, proofs, samples of QSL cards used, as well as marketing and advertising material.  Both individual and team DXpedition operations qualify for these awards.  All activity must have been approved by the World Wide Radio Organisation’s IVAT or an alternative administrative figure (eg. DX Group Activation’s Manager) and all DX entities (ie. DXCC, Islands, Lighthouses, Windmills, Castles and Fortresses, Mountain Summits, etc.) must have possessed the correct identification or reference number in accordance with the respective governing body in that field (ie. DXCC-WWRO, IOTA-Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB), LOTA-Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society (ARLHS), SWOTA-DA-RC, COTA/CF-Delta Radio DX Group, MILL or MOTA-Fox Radio DX Group, SOTA-Summits On The Air AR Award Program/Mountain Radio Challenge (MRC)).  Contacts made with previous callsigns are valid and no time limit applies for achieving the various DXpedition targets.
