DX Helpline

From time to time, a QSL confirmation card will arrive in our PO Box without the province, state, department, territory, island, etc. marked on the card.

For those competitive DXers who chase awards, and therefore need to know such information in order to satisfy DX targets, this can be enormously frustrating.  It can also be the difference between missing out on or attaining an award.

In the past, the result of such an occurrence generally meant that the QSL card was of no value as it lacked the essential information required by the receiving operator.  It may have even ended up in the trash!

The Dx Adventure Radio Club’s newest project, however, offers members who subscribe to the DX Atlas  (See http://www.delta-alfa.com/da-rc-projects-2/dx-atlas/ ) a free data data investigation service, with the primary aim being to search for and find missing or incomplete QSL information and then report it back to the member.

To realize this valuable service, the DX Helpline project manager consults a wide range of electronic and online data bases, various radio club directories, his own meticulous records, as well as existing human networks, following an approach by a subscriber for assistance.

The subscriber is then contacted with the necessary information or briefed of the outcome.

How do you subscibe?  It’s easy!  Just check out the information on http://www.delta-alfa.com/da-rc-projects-2/dx-atlas/ and contact the project Manager who is 14DA911 Eric.
