feuchy chapel14DA024 Christophe’s home QTH is ‘Feuchy’, a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.  It’s approximately 5 km from Arras, the department capital and 160 km from Paris.

Feuchy is a farming and light industrial village situated 4.8 km east of Arras, in the valley of the Scarpe river, a tributary of the Scheldt.

According to the history books, it was occupied by German troops in September 1914 and was only a few miles west of the front line.

The church of St. Vaast, a Benedictine monastery, rebuilt along with most of the commune, after World War I and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery are notable landmarks.

In addition to taking to the field for portable dx adventure, Christophe enjoys cycling around the picturesque green countryside near his home. It’s a relaxing pastime away from the hustle and bustle of work and gets him away from the shack when the band is asleep!
